Collection: Puzzle Toys

Puzzle toys give your dog a problem to solve — slide a lid, turn a compartment, nose out a hidden treat. Five minutes of puzzle play can provide more mental stimulation than a much longer physical walk, making them one of the most effective enrichment tools you can add to your dog's routine.

WHY PUZZLE TOYS

Dogs are natural problem-solvers — they're wired to work for their food. Puzzle toys tap into that instinct by turning snack time or mealtime into a challenge that engages their brain and builds confidence. Regular puzzle play helps reduce anxiety, curb destructive behaviour, and develop the kind of calm focus that makes everyday life easier. They're particularly useful on rainy days, for senior dogs, dogs recovering from injury, or high-energy breeds that need a mental outlet alongside their physical exercise.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

My dog has never used a puzzle toy — where should I start?
Any puzzle toy in this collection is a good starting point. Every dog can enjoy puzzle play regardless of age, size, or experience — beginners may just take a little longer to solve it. For Pawzler specifically, the Beginner Set (Level 1) is designed as a first puzzle. Our Pawzler Guide has detailed getting-started advice.

What's the difference between a puzzle toy and a snuffle toy?
Puzzle toys use mechanical challenges — slides, lids, rotating compartments — that your dog solves with their paws and nose. Snuffle toys hide treats in fabric folds and pockets, relying primarily on scent work. Both provide mental stimulation; they just engage different skills. Many owners use both in rotation. Can I use a puzzle toy as a slow feeder?
Yes — many owners use puzzle toys for daily meals instead of a traditional bowl. The puzzle mechanisms slow down eating naturally, which can help reduce bloating and improve digestion. Pawzler is especially well suited to this since the modular system lets you adjust difficulty as your dog gets faster.

Will my dog lose interest once they've solved it?
With fixed-design puzzles, dogs can learn the solution and lose interest over time. That's why modular systems like Pawzler are valuable — you can reconfigure the toy every time, swap modules, or merge Bases to create a completely different challenge. Rotating between different puzzle toys also helps maintain engagement.

Are puzzle toys safe to leave unsupervised?
We recommend supervising puzzle play, particularly when introducing a new toy. Once your dog understands the toy and uses it as intended — solving rather than chewing — short periods of unsupervised play are generally fine. Always inspect toys regularly for signs of wear.

Where can I see puzzle toys in person?
Everything in this collection is available at our Wheelock Place store — 501 Orchard Road, #01-K3, Singapore. Open daily, 11am–7pm. Our team can demo any puzzle toy and help you choose based on your dog's experience level.
