Organic Paws Raw Feeding Guide
Organic Paws is a complete raw food range for dogs and cats, made in Australia from certified organic, human-grade ingredients. This guide covers everything you need before switching — how much to feed, what it costs per day at Singapore prices, how the seven recipes compare nutritionally, and how to transition from processed food to raw.
Why raw — biologically appropriate food
Dogs and cats are carnivores. Their digestive systems evolved to process raw meat, ground bone, and organ meat — not heat-processed or canned food. Biologically appropriate raw food replicates what a carnivore would eat in the wild: whole muscle meat, organ meat including liver, kidney, and heart, ground bone for calcium, and green tripe as a natural probiotic. The result is a diet the body recognises, absorbs efficiently, and thrives on.
Every Organic Paws recipe is complete and balanced — formulated to meet all of a dog's or cat's nutritional requirements with no supplementation needed. Cod Liver Oil and Kelp are added to each recipe for omega-3 fatty acids, iodine, and a broad spectrum of vitamins and minerals. All recipes must be served raw — never cooked, as the ground bone content becomes brittle and potentially dangerous when heated.
The seven recipes at Woof Living
Woof Living carries seven Organic Paws recipes across two product lines. The Original Blend range uses a pure formula of meat, organs, ground bone, cod liver oil, and kelp. The Powerhouse range adds nutrient-dense superfoods for an elevated nutritional profile.

Choosing the right recipe for your pet
Original Blend Kangaroo
Highest protein (18.5g per 100g) and lowest energy density. Ideal for overweight pets, highly allergic dogs or cats, or pets that need a novel protein. Kangaroo is one of the least common proteins in commercial pet food, making it an excellent hypoallergenic option. Note: kangaroo cannot be certified organic as Australia does not farm kangaroo — it is wild-caught and free from chemicals and preservatives.
Original Blend Beef
Highest energy density (984 KJ per 100g) and highest fat content. Best suited to highly active dogs, working dogs, or underweight animals that need caloric density.
Original Blend Chicken
Highest protein of the certified organic options, lean and well-balanced. A natural starting point for pets transitioning to raw for the first time.
Original Blend Lamb
Rich in iron and zinc, with a flavour profile that appeals to most pets. Good for rotation alongside chicken.
Original Blend Fish & Chicken
Among the highest omega-3 content in the Original Blend range. Particularly beneficial for skin and coat health, joint support, and pets with inflammatory conditions. Uses fresh ocean fish fillets — not farmed.
Powerhouse Lamb & Chicken with Turmeric & Coconut Oil
Lowest fat content of the full range (10g per 100g) with the addition of turmeric and coconut oil for anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and immune-supporting properties. Excellent for dogs and cats with chronic inflammation, skin conditions, or joint issues.
Powerhouse Turkey & Chicken Organ Blend
The most organ-dense recipe in the range, including heart, liver, kidney, lung, spleen, and trachea alongside turkey and chicken meat. Exceptionally rich in vitamins, minerals, and the naturally occurring glucosamine and chondroitin in trachea. Best for pets who need concentrated nutrient support.
Powerhouse Goat & Lamb with Leafy Greens — dogs only
A canine ancestral diet formula with added sardines, whole eggs, hemp seed oil, and seasonal leafy greens. Higher in carbohydrates (4.84g per 100g) due to the vegetable content — still very low by any conventional diet standard. The hemp seed oil provides an excellent omega-6 to omega-3 ratio.
Why and how to rotate proteins
Rotating between proteins is recommended and encouraged. Each protein source provides a different amino acid profile, different micronutrient ratios, and different fatty acid compositions. Rotating regularly gives your pet a broader range of nutrients than any single protein can provide, and reduces the risk of developing sensitivities to any one protein over time.
All Organic Paws recipes are formulated to the same complete and balanced standard — you can switch between them freely without any nutritional adjustment. A simple rotation might be two weeks on Chicken, two weeks on Kangaroo, two weeks on Fish & Chicken. The Powerhouse recipes work well as variety meals rotated alongside the Original Blend.
Transitioning to raw
Most pets can transition to raw food without issue, but a gradual approach reduces the chance of digestive upset — particularly for pets who have been on processed food for a long time.
Week 1
75% current food, 25% Organic Paws raw.
Week 2
50% current food, 50% raw.
Week 3
25% current food, 75% raw.
Week 4
100% Organic Paws raw.
A gradual transition gives your pet's digestive system time to adjust.
Some pets — particularly those with healthy digestion — can transition faster. Others with sensitive stomachs may need 6–8 weeks. Signs that the transition is going well include firmer and smaller stools, improved coat condition, increased energy, and better breath. Some loose stools in the first week are normal as the digestive system adjusts.
Storage and handling
Store frozen until ready to use. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before serving — do not thaw at room temperature or in hot water. Each box contains individually vacuum-sealed 275g (Original Blend) or 250g (Powerhouse) portions, making it easy to thaw only what you need. Once thawed, store in the refrigerator and use within 2–3 days. Do not refreeze once thawed.
Handle with the same food hygiene practices you would apply to raw meat. Wash food bowls, preparation surfaces, and hands after each meal.
Frequently asked questions
Is Organic Paws suitable for cats as well as dogs?
Yes — six of the seven recipes at Woof Living are suitable for both dogs and cats of all ages including kittens and puppies. The exception is Powerhouse Goat & Lamb with Leafy Greens, which is formulated for dogs only. The feeding guide is the same for both species — use your cat's body weight to determine the appropriate daily amount.
Is raw feeding safe?
Yes, when handled correctly. Raw meat carries the same food safety considerations as any raw meat prepared for human consumption — standard kitchen hygiene practices apply. Organic Paws uses certified organic, human-grade ingredients. The ground bone content means the food must always be served raw — cooking makes ground bone brittle and potentially dangerous.
Is Organic Paws certified organic?
Most recipes are certified by Australian Certified Organic (ACO). The exception is the Kangaroo recipe — Australia does not farm kangaroo, so organic certification is not available. The kangaroo used is wild-caught and free from pesticides, chemicals, and preservatives, but cannot carry the ACO certification mark.
Can I feed Organic Paws to puppies and kittens?
Yes. All recipes are suitable for all life stages including puppies and kittens. Animals under 6 months should be fed the recommended daily amount split across two meals rather than one.
How many boxes do I need per month?
It depends on your pet's weight. A 5kg dog or cat eating 150g daily will use approximately one 2.2kg Original Blend box every 14–15 days — about 2 boxes per month. A 15kg dog eating 350g daily will use approximately one box every 6 days — about 5 boxes per month, which qualifies for the 5-box tier at $66 per box.
Can I mix raw with other food?
Yes — mixing raw with your pet's current food is fine. During transition, you can combine both in the same bowl as you gradually increase the proportion of raw over four weeks.
Why are the stools smaller on raw food?
Smaller, firmer stools are a sign that more of the food is being absorbed and utilised by the body. Processed food contains fillers and indigestible material that pass through as waste. Raw food is highly digestible — less waste means more nutrition absorbed.
What is the pricing structure?
All Organic Paws recipes at Woof Living are $70 per box. Multi-box discounts apply: 3 boxes at $68 each, 5 boxes at $66 each, and 10 or more boxes at $60 each. Buying in bulk is particularly practical for larger dogs or multi-pet households.
