WHY FREEZE-DRIED RAW TREATS
Freeze-drying locks in the natural aroma and flavour of raw ingredients more intensely than any other preservation method. The result is a treat that smells and tastes incredibly strong to your dog — making freeze-dried raw treats the highest-value reward in most dogs' ranking. They're lightweight, easy to carry, break apart cleanly into smaller pieces for training, and need no refrigeration. The nutritional profile stays close to the original raw ingredient, so your dog is getting real food, not processed filler shaped into a treat.
WHAT TO USE THEM FOR
Training — Freeze-dried raw treats are the gold standard for training. The intense aroma captures your dog's attention immediately, and the light texture breaks easily into small pieces so your dog eats quickly and refocuses on you. Keep a handful in your training pouch and you'll have the highest-value reward available.
Treat dispensing toys — Their firm texture works well inside chambers and channels. For frozen enrichment, crumble freeze-dried treats over wet food inside a treat dispensing toy before freezing for an added layer of aroma and flavour. Shop Treat Dispensing Toys →
Snuffle toys — Freeze-dried treats work in snuffle toys but can be slightly crumbly, which may leave residue in fabric folds. Air-dried treats are our first recommendation for fabric snuffle toys. For snuffle toys that disassemble for cleaning, freeze-dried crumbs are less of a concern. Shop Snuffle Toys → · Shop Air-Dried Treats →
High-value rewards — When you need your dog's absolute attention — recall training, vet visits, nail trimming, desensitisation work — freeze-dried raw treats are the treat most dogs will do anything for.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What's the difference between freeze-dried and air-dried treats?
Freeze-dried treats are flash-frozen then vacuum-dried, producing a light, crunchy texture with intense aroma — the highest-value option for training. Air-dried treats are slowly dehydrated at low temperatures, producing a firmer, chewier texture that holds its shape better inside enrichment toys. Both preserve nutrients well; the choice depends on how you'll use them. Shop Air-Dried Treats →
Are freeze-dried raw treats actually raw?
Yes — freeze-drying preserves raw ingredients without cooking them. The moisture is removed through sublimation (ice turning directly to vapour under vacuum), so the food is never exposed to heat. The nutritional profile remains close to the original raw ingredient.
Are freeze-dried treats messy?
They can be slightly crumbly compared to air-dried treats — that's the trade-off for the lighter, crunchier texture. For training and treat dispensing toys, this isn't an issue. For fabric snuffle toys, air-dried treats tend to be cleaner. Snuffle toys that disassemble for cleaning handle freeze-dried crumbs well.
My dog has allergies — are freeze-dried treats a good option?
Single-ingredient freeze-dried treats are excellent for dogs with allergies or sensitivities — one protein, nothing added. The ingredient list is as short as it gets. Choose a protein your dog tolerates and check the product page for the full ingredient breakdown.
How should I store freeze-dried treats?
In a cool, dry place with the bag sealed. No refrigeration needed. In Singapore's humidity, reseal promptly after each use to maintain the crunchy texture — exposure to moisture will soften them over time.
Where can I shop freeze-dried raw treats in person?
Everything in this collection is available at our Wheelock Place store — 501 Orchard Road, #01-K3, Singapore. Open daily, 11am–7pm. Our team can help you choose based on your dog's dietary needs and what you'll be using the treats for.
