Kaya is a Level 2 Pawzler puzzle piece with a dual-function sliding mechanism — occupying four spots on the Base and delivering a two-stage reward as dogs push the slider from one side to the other. It also functions as a Base connector, linking two Bases together to extend the overall puzzle setup.

How It Works

Kaya's blue slider has two distinct sections: a flat surface that covers treat compartments on one side, and a hole that holds treats within the slider itself. As dogs push the slider across — using their nose, tongue, or paw — two things happen in sequence. First, the flat section moves away to reveal the treats hidden beneath it. Then, as the slider reaches the opposite side, the hole drops any treats held inside it down into the compartments below, releasing a second round of rewards.

To set up Kaya correctly: place treats in the compartments covered by the flat surface, then drop additional treats into the hole on the slider itself. Dogs that push the slider all the way across unlock both reward stages. Dogs that stop halfway only get the first.

Fill each compartment with small treats, or spread a meal across Kaya and other Pawzles to slow down eating and turn mealtime into playtime.

Use as a Base Connector

Kaya's four-spot footprint allows it to span the join between two adjacent Bases, physically linking them together and extending the overall puzzle footprint. This increases the number of possible configurations and extends session time without requiring additional connector pieces.

Compatibility

Kaya clips into any Pawzler Base and is compatible with all Pawzles and Bases in the range. A Base is required — Kaya cannot be used without one. Kaya is included in the Smarty Set as a bonus Pawzle.

Pawzler is an enrichment toy — not a chew toy. Always supervise play, particularly if your dog is prone to chewing. The moment chewing starts, calmly end the session and remove the puzzle. Return it only once your dog is calm and ready to problem-solve again. Pawzler pieces damaged through chewing are not covered under warranty.
