WagLab Playstack Guide
PlayStack by WAGLAB is a modular dog toy system — connect same-size modules to build a stack, fill them with treats, spreads or a chew, and rearrange whenever you like. While every module works on its own, pairing two together is where PlayStack really comes into its own, so this guide will help you pick a pairing that suits your dog, get the size right, and keep everything clean.
Which module should I start with
PlayStack has five modules and a 2-Pack Play Stack to get you going. The right starting point depends on how your dog likes to play — and pairing two play styles together tends to keep them engaged for longer than a single module on its own. Follow the branch that fits.
Choosing a size
PlayStack comes in small and large. Only same-size modules connect together, so it's worth picking the right one before you build a stack.
| Size | Best for |
|---|---|
| Small | Dogs up to around 20 kg (45 lbs) |
| Large | Dogs from around 16 kg (35 lbs) and above |
The modules at a glance
Every module connects with any same-size PlayStack module, so you can mix play styles freely. Here's what each one does.
The Boomerang
Unique cutouts dispense small treats as your dog noses and rolls it. A treat toy that keeps them coming back.
The Spinner
An inner ring spins to release treats. A puzzle they'll love to solve, working with both small and large treats.
The Slobber
Shallow grooves hold dog-safe spreads. Freezer-safe for a longer, cooling activity on warm days.
The Squiggle
Wavy cutouts hold treats or a spread. The treat and lick toy that makes them smile, freezer-safe too.
The Bully
A twist-in design securely holds a bully stick (sold separately) so your dog can work at it for longer.
2-Pack Play Stack
Pairs the Boomerang and Slobber, an easy way to begin with a stackable pair and add more modules later. Costs less than buying the two separately.
How to use PlayStack
Three steps: connect same-size modules, fill them, then let your dog play.
Connect
Mix and match same-size modules to build a stack. Twist or press them together until they sit flush.
Customise
Add treats, a dog-safe spread, or a bully stick depending on the module. The more you add, the longer they play.
Play
Hand it over and let your dog roll, paw, and work through it. Rearrange the stack next time for a fresh challenge.

Getting started
What do I need to begin?
Nothing extra — every PlayStack module works on its own. If you're buying your first PlayStack, start with a single module that matches how your dog likes to play, or the 2-Pack Play Stack if you'd like to begin with a stackable pair. You can add more modules at any time, as long as they're the same size.
How do I set up PlayStack?
Fill the module with treats, a dog-safe spread, or a bully stick depending on which one you're using, then hand it to your dog. If you're using more than one module, connect same-size pieces together to build a stack before filling them. Start with one or two modules for a simpler session, and add more as your dog gets the hang of it.
What treats or fillings work best?
The Boomerang and Spinner are designed for small or large treats. The Slobber and Squiggle hold dog-safe spreads, and the Squiggle also takes treats. The Bully is designed for a bully stick rather than treats or spreads. Mixing fillings across modules in a stack adds variety to a single session.
Building and expanding
Do I need to buy every module?
No. Each module works on its own, and you can build up your set over time. Same-size modules connect and stack together, so you can start small and expand whenever you like, including as new modules join the range.
Can I mix modules from different purchases?
Yes. Any same-size PlayStack module connects with any other, regardless of which product or pack it came from. Mix and rearrange freely to keep play interesting.
Which size should I choose?
Small is best for dogs up to around 20 kg (45 lbs) and large is best for dogs from around 16 kg (35 lbs) and above. Dogs between roughly 16 and 20 kg can use either size. Only same-size modules connect together, so choose one size if you plan to build a stack.
Play and supervision
PlayStack is an enrichment and treat toy — not a chew toy, with the exception of the Bully, which is designed to hold a bully stick. Always supervise play, particularly if your dog is prone to chewing the modules themselves. If chewing starts on a non-chew module, calmly end the session and remove it. Check modules regularly and replace any that become damaged.
How long should a play session be?
Follow your dog's lead. Most dogs settle naturally once a treat or lick module is worked through. If your dog loses interest quickly, try a higher-value treat or spread, or reduce the number of modules in the stack. If your dog finishes too fast, add more pieces, switch to a frozen filling, or rearrange the stack before the next session.
Should I leave PlayStack out between sessions?
No. Put it away between sessions. This keeps it novel and means each session feels like a fresh activity, especially once you start rearranging the stack.
Troubleshooting
My dog finishes a module too quickly — what should I do?
Switch to a frozen filling in the Slobber or Squiggle for a longer-lasting session, add another module to the stack, or change up the treats or spread you're using. The modular design means the same pieces can play differently from one session to the next.
My dog isn't interested in a module — what should I do?
Try a different filling or treat type — some dogs respond better to a spread than dry treats, or vice versa. If a particular play style doesn't land (some dogs aren't drawn to puzzle mechanics, for instance), try a different module instead. Not every dog will engage with every play style, and that's fine.
My modules won't connect or stack properly — what should I do?
Check that you're connecting same-size modules — small and large pieces aren't designed to connect with each other. If two same-size modules still feel like they're not seating properly, try removing and reconnecting them; a clean, firm connection should sit flush with no gap.
My dog is chewing the modules — what should I do?
End the session and remove the module if it's not designed for chewing (everything except the Bully). If chewing is a consistent issue, supervise closely and keep sessions shorter. The Bully is designed to hold a bully stick securely if your dog is looking for dedicated chew time.
Care and cleaning
How do I clean PlayStack?
Every module is made of natural rubber and is BPA-free, and is dishwasher-safe on the top rack. You can also hand wash by soaking the modules in hot soapy water for around 10 minutes, then rinsing clean. Detach modules from one another before washing, and rinse between uses for a quick clean.
Can I freeze PlayStack?
Yes. The modules are freezer-safe. Filling the Slobber or Squiggle with a dog-safe spread and freezing it beforehand makes the activity last longer, which is especially useful on warm days in Singapore.
What is PlayStack made from?
Natural rubber, BPA-free. Designed by the team behind Canada Pooch.
