Guts & Glory is Four Leaf Rover's freeze-dried whole-food organ meat blend — seven grass-fed beef organs from pasture-raised New Zealand cattle, combined into a single daily meal topper. Liver, heart, kidney, pancreas, spleen, adrenal, and thymus, each chosen for the unique nutritional profile it delivers. No herbs, no probiotics, no added functional ingredients — just pure, nutrient-dense organ meat, freeze-dried to lock in heat-sensitive nutrients.

This is the Four Leaf Rover supplement that isn't trying to solve a specific problem. It's a daily nutritional foundation — nature's multivitamin — delivering the vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and glandular cofactors that modern commercial dog diets are systematically missing. Available in 37.4g.

Usage & safety notes.
Give once daily as a meal topper. Works with any diet — raw, cooked, or commercial. Particularly valuable for dogs on processed diets (where organ variety is missing) and for picky eaters who won't eat fresh organ meat directly. Long-term daily use is safe and recommended.
Why Organ Meats Matter

In the wild, wolves and wild canids eat the organs first. Before the muscle meat, before the bones — the organs. The reason is biological. Organs are the most nutrient-dense parts of any animal, concentrating vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and glandular cofactors that muscle meat alone can't deliver. For dogs whose ancestral diet centres around whole prey, organ variety isn't a supplement — it's foundational nutrition.

The problem is that modern dogs rarely eat organs. Commercial dry foods often list "meat by-products" or "animal digest" rather than specific organs, and even when they do contain organ content, the high-heat processing destroys many of the heat-sensitive nutrients that make organs valuable in the first place. Cooked home-prepared diets face the same issue. Raw feeders who follow a prey-model or BARF approach get organ variety naturally, but many raw feeders find sourcing all seven specific organs consistently challenging.

Guts & Glory solves this. Seven organs. Grass-fed. Freeze-dried at low temperatures to preserve the heat-sensitive compounds. Measured and consistent. One teaspoon delivers the kind of nutrient diversity that most commercial-fed dogs haven't seen in their entire lives.

The Seven Organs & What They Do

Liver (300mg). The most nutrient-dense organ in nature — extraordinarily high in vitamin A, copper, iron, B vitamins (especially B12), and folate. Supports healthy liver function in dogs (the principle of "like supports like" from traditional nutrition).

Heart (300mg). The richest whole-food source of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) — a compound essential for cellular energy production, particularly in heart muscle. Also extremely high in taurine, an amino acid critical for cardiovascular health that many dogs don't get enough of, particularly those on grain-free commercial diets.

Kidney (200mg). Provides selenium, B12, riboflavin, and iron. Supports healthy kidney function.

Pancreas (200mg). A natural source of digestive enzymes (protease, amylase, lipase) and supports pancreatic function. Provides a modest enzyme contribution to daily meals.

Spleen (200mg). Rich in iron, vitamin C, and immunological compounds. Supports immune function and blood health.

Adrenal (100mg). Glandular support for the body's stress-response system. A rare ingredient in commercial supplements, valuable for dogs under chronic stress or during recovery periods.

Thymus (100mg). A key immune-system gland, rich in thymus-specific peptides and compounds that support immune development and function.

What Guts & Glory Supports

Whole-body nutritional foundation. Vitamins A, C, D, E, K, the full B complex, folate, copper, iron, manganese, iodine, phosphorus, zinc, amino acids (including taurine), collagen, CoQ10, pancreatic enzymes, and more — all from whole-food sources rather than synthetic fortification.

Cardiovascular health. Taurine deficiency is increasingly documented in dogs on certain diets. Heart provides naturally occurring taurine and CoQ10 — the two most important nutrients for cardiac muscle function.

Immune system development and balance. Thymus, spleen, and adrenal glandular provide immunological building blocks that a muscle-meat-only diet doesn't deliver.

Liver and kidney support (nutritional). Through "like supports like" — the principle that feeding organ tissue provides the specific nutrients each organ needs most.

Energy and vitality. B vitamins, iron, and CoQ10 together support cellular energy production. Many owners report visibly improved energy and coat quality after a few weeks of daily use.

When to Reach for Guts & Glory

Guts & Glory is the Four Leaf Rover product for any dog whose daily diet could use more variety and whole-food nutrition — which is most commercial-fed dogs and many home-cooked ones. It's not targeted at a specific health issue; it's foundational. Particularly valuable for picky eaters (the natural flavour improves meal acceptance), dogs on processed diets (fills nutritional gaps systematically), dogs recovering from illness (broad-spectrum nutrient support), senior dogs (compensates for declining nutrient absorption), and active or working dogs (higher nutrient demands).

For enzyme and pancreatic support specifically, Organ Care delivers concentrated pancreas plus added enzymes — a more targeted product. For periodic liver and kidney detox support, Liver & Kidney Clean uses mushrooms and detoxifying herbs rather than whole organs. Guts & Glory sits alongside both as the daily nutritional foundation rather than a functional therapy.

Freeze-Dried, Not Cooked or Dehydrated

How organ meat is preserved determines how much of its nutritional value survives. Cooking destroys heat-sensitive vitamins and enzymes. Dehydration at warm temperatures does the same, just more slowly. Freeze-drying is different — it removes water at very low temperatures under vacuum, preserving almost the full nutritional profile of the fresh raw organ. The result is a shelf-stable powder that's nutritionally close to the raw source.

Guts & Glory uses freeze-drying specifically to maintain the CoQ10, enzymes, glandular cofactors, and heat-sensitive vitamins that make organs worth eating in the first place. Heat-treated organ meal products — which are common in the pet supplement space — lose much of this value.

How to Use

Give once daily as a meal topper. Measure according to your dog's body weight using the guide below.

Body weight Daily amount
Up to 11 kg (1–25 lbs) ½ tsp
12–23 kg (26–50 lbs) ¾ tsp
24–34 kg (51–75 lbs) 1 tsp
34–45 kg (76–100 lbs) 1½ tsp
45+ kg (100+ lbs) 2 tsp

A 37.4g jar typically lasts anywhere from around 3 weeks to several months depending on your dog's size. Safe for long-term daily use.

Caution.
Dogs with confirmed beef or bovine allergies should not use this product. For dogs with compromised liver function, consult a veterinarian before starting — the high vitamin A content of liver is generally beneficial but may need monitoring in dogs with existing liver disease. Introduce gradually for dogs unfamiliar with organ meat — start with a smaller amount and build up over a week to avoid loose stools. If your dog's condition worsens or doesn't improve, consult your veterinarian.
Storage

Refrigerate after opening to extend freshness — the freeze-dried organs contain naturally occurring fats that slowly oxidise at room temperature. If fridge space is limited, store in a cool, dark place and use within 30–60 days of opening. Keep the lid tightly sealed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I still need Guts & Glory if I feed raw?

If you feed a prey-model or BARF raw diet that includes the full range of organ meats weekly — liver, heart, kidney, spleen, and others — you're already getting much of what Guts & Glory delivers. That said, sourcing all seven organs consistently is difficult for most raw feeders, and Guts & Glory offers a measurable, convenient way to ensure the less-common organs (adrenal, thymus, pancreas) are part of the diet. Many raw feeders use it as a "gap-filler" for the organs they can't reliably source.

Is this the same as a multivitamin?

Functionally yes, but from a different source. Commercial dog multivitamins use synthetic vitamins and minerals — isolated, often at doses that exceed what dogs need, and frequently in forms the body struggles to absorb. Guts & Glory delivers the same vitamins, minerals, and cofactors from whole-food sources, in the ratios the body evolved to recognise, alongside amino acids and glandular factors that synthetic multivitamins can't replicate. Whole-food nutrition generally absorbs better and carries less risk of oversupply.

My dog is on a grain-free diet and I've heard about taurine deficiency. Does Guts & Glory help?

Heart is one of the richest natural sources of taurine, and Guts & Glory contains 300mg of heart per teaspoon — meaningful daily taurine support. Taurine deficiency has been linked to a specific form of heart disease (DCM — dilated cardiomyopathy) in some breeds on certain grain-free diets, and adding natural taurine sources has become a standard recommendation for affected dogs. Guts & Glory fits that role. For dogs with diagnosed DCM, work with your veterinarian — taurine requirements may exceed what a food-based supplement can provide.

Why include adrenal and thymus — these seem unusual?

Adrenal gland and thymus are rare inclusions in commercial dog supplements, but they're functional organs that deliver unique nutritional value. Adrenal supports stress-response cofactors. Thymus provides immune-specific peptides that support the development and regulation of T-cells. In a prey-model raw diet, wild canids would consume these naturally. Guts & Glory is one of the few products that includes both, making it more complete than the typical liver-heart-kidney blends common in the category.

Can I give Guts & Glory alongside other Four Leaf Rover products?

Yes. Guts & Glory is a nutritional foundation supplement — it doesn't interfere with any functional supplement. It pairs naturally with Protect (probiotics), Safe-Sea (omegas), Hip & Joint (joint support), Liver & Kidney Clean (periodic detox), or any of the mushroom and immune products. Think of it as the daily multivitamin in a stack of more targeted supplements.

My dog is a picky eater and refuses organ meat — will they eat this?

Most picky dogs accept Guts & Glory readily — the freeze-drying process concentrates the natural flavours into an intense, umami-rich powder that most dogs find highly appealing. Many owners report their dog licking the bowl more eagerly once Guts & Glory is added. If your dog is particularly suspicious of new additions, start with a very small amount mixed thoroughly into a meal they normally enjoy, and build up over a few days.

Is Guts & Glory safe for puppies?

Yes — at the appropriate weight-based dose, Guts & Glory is safe and beneficial for puppies. Growing dogs have high nutritional demands, and the broad-spectrum whole-food profile supports development across multiple systems. For very young puppies under 12 weeks, start with a smaller amount and build up over 7–10 days.
