Mellem Convertible Leash

One leash. Four lengths. The MELLEM Convertible is built for the way walks actually happen — changing neighbourhoods, changing moods, changing dogs. By clipping the handle back on itself, the MELLEM adjusts seamlessly between 90cm, 120cm, 150cm, and 180cm without any additional hardware.

At its longest, it gives dogs room to move on open paths. At its shortest, it keeps them close in busy streets. Clipped to its maximum length and attached to a bag or belt via the REI Connector, it becomes a hands-free leash. The MELLEM is also the anchor of the Lambwolf modular walk system — it pairs with the REI Connector for hands-free walking.

Available in narrow (2cm) and wide (2.5cm). Narrow suits smaller dogs and those who prefer a lighter feel. Wide suits larger dogs or anyone who wants a more substantial grip.

Choose Narrow (2cm) if your dog is on the smaller side, or if you prefer a lighter, less bulky leash in hand. Choose Wide (2.5cm) if your dog is larger, stronger, or if you want a more substantial grip and added durability for heavy daily use.

Wipe clean with a damp cloth. For a deeper clean, hand wash with a mild, pet-safe detergent and air dry fully. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

How do I adjust the length?
Clip the carabiner to one of the handle loops to shorten the leash. Each clip point corresponds to a different length — 90cm, 120cm, or 150cm. Unclipped at full length with the handle clipped to a bag or belt, it runs at 180cm for hands-free use.

What is the difference between the MELLEM and the APEX?
The APEX is a simple fixed-length leash at 1.2m — lightweight, no adjustments, no add-ons. The MELLEM adjusts across four lengths, clips hands-free, and works as part of the Lambwolf modular system. If you want simplicity, choose the APEX. If you want versatility, choose the MELLEM.

Can I use the MELLEM for long-line training?
No — the MELLEM's maximum length is 180cm. For recall training or giving your dog more off-leash freedom in a controlled environment, the NOMAD Long Line is available in 3.6m, 6m, and 9m.

Is the REI Connector included?
No — the REI Connector is sold separately. It is not required to use the MELLEM, but it unlocks the hands-free configuration.
