Feline Leaky Gut Protocol

The Feline Leaky Gut Protocol is a complete 5-product gut repair kit formulated exclusively for cats — a structured, step-by-step protocol developed by Adored Beast Apothecary founder Julie Anne Lee, DCH RCSHom, to address the root causes of leaky gut syndrome and the wide range of chronic conditions that stem from it. Leaky gut — increased intestinal permeability — occurs when the tight junctions of the gastrointestinal lining become separated, allowing toxins, undigested food particles, and pathogens to enter the bloodstream. The resulting immune response is implicated in virtually every chronic inflammatory condition seen in cats today: skin disease, food allergies, IBD, recurring ear infections, autoimmune disease, organ disease, and more. This protocol does not suppress those symptoms — it addresses the gut damage driving them.

Pre-Step — Rebalancer (30ml liquid)
A homeopathic tincture that prepares the gut for the protocol by rebalancing the digestive environment after vaccines, antibiotics, or other gut-disrupting events. Given for 2 days only before starting the main protocol. Active ingredients: Arnica 30C, Collagen (Porcine Cartilage) 12C, Calendula Officinalis 12C, Thiosinaminum 12C.

Step 1: REMOVE — Liver Tonic (60ml liquid)
A herbal tincture that supports the liver, kidneys, pancreas, and gallbladder — the body's primary detoxification organs. The liver must be supported before gut healing can begin effectively, as a compromised liver cannot process the toxins released during gut repair. Active ingredients: Organic Barberry (Berberis vulgaris), Organic Greater Celandine (Chelidonium majus), Organic Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum), Organic Dandelion Root (Taraxacum officinalis).

Step 2: REBALANCE — Healthy Gut (41g powder)
A pre and probiotic with four digestive enzymes — Pancreatin, Bromelain, Betaine HCl, and Papain — to improve food breakdown, support nutrient absorption, and rebalance the digestive flora disrupted by leaky gut. The enzyme component is critical for cats on dry or processed food where natural food enzymes have been destroyed by heat. Contains 30 Billion CFU across 14 probiotic strains plus larch arabinogalactan prebiotic.

Step 3: REPLENISH — Feline Gut Soothe (46g powder)
A cat-specific gut soothe formula combining 15 Billion CFU probiotics with gut-lining herbs to soothe, repair, and rebuild the damaged intestinal lining. Key ingredients include L-Glutamine (150mg) for gut lining repair, N-Acetyl Glucosamine (125mg) for mucosal membrane support, Slippery Elm Bark (100mg) and Marshmallow Root (6.25mg) for their mucilage-forming, anti-inflammatory properties, Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice — DGL (30mg) for gut lining protection, and Larch Arabinogalactan (150mg) prebiotic. Step 4: RESTORE — Gut Seal (30ml liquid)
A homeopathic remedy that targets the leaky junctions of the gastrointestinal lining directly — helping to restore, strengthen, and tighten the separated tight junctions that define leaky gut. Active ingredients: Arnica 30C, Collagen (Porcine Cartilage) 12C, Calendula Officinalis 12C, Thiosinaminum 12C.
