Love Bugs is a daily pre and probiotic supplement for dogs and cats — a 14-strain, 30 Billion CFU probiotic powder combined with a prebiotic to support a healthy gut microbiome, strengthen the immune system, and address a wide range of conditions rooted in poor gut health. Probiotics — the gut's "friendly" bacteria — defend against harmful, disease-causing bacteria, support the mucosal lining of the digestive tract, and are responsible for more than 80% of the immune system's function. Prebiotics serve as fertiliser for these friendly bacteria, allowing them to colonise, reproduce, and thrive. Without a prebiotic, a probiotic is significantly less effective. The 14-strain probiotic blend in Love Bugs delivers 30 Billion allergen-free CFU (colony forming units) per serving. Lactic acid bacteria in the blend produce lactic acid, which lowers intestinal pH and inhibits yeast growth. They also block the adhesion sites that pathogens use to attach to the gut lining, creating a protective barrier against harmful organisms and repopulating the digestive system with beneficial bacteria.

The prebiotic component — Larch Arabinogalactan — is extracted from the larch tree and acts as fertiliser for the probiotic bacteria, supporting their colonisation and reproduction. Without a prebiotic, probiotics are significantly less effective at establishing and maintaining a healthy colony in the gut.

For cats and small dogs, use body weight to determine the appropriate bracket. Most cats fall within the up to 29 lbs bracket at ¼ tsp daily.

Refrigerate after opening to maintain optimal freshness. Love Bugs is freeze-dried — refrigeration is not strictly required but is recommended once the tub has been opened.
