Yeasty Beast Topical Spray is a herbal antifungal and antibacterial skin spray for dogs — a combination of apple cider vinegar, witch hazel, and five therapeutic herbs formulated to soothe itchy, yeasty skin, prevent topical yeast infections, and support the healing of irritated or inflamed skin. 100% natural, paraben-free, and non-GMO.
Developed by Adored Beast Apothecary founder Julie Anne Lee, DCH RCSHom, Yeasty Beast addresses one of the most common and frustrating skin concerns in dogs — recurrent yeast overgrowth on the skin, paws, ears, skin folds, and other warm, moist areas. It works by creating an unfavourable environment for yeast while simultaneously soothing inflammation, supporting skin barrier repair, and fighting secondary bacterial infection. 60ml spray bottle. 480 sprays per bottle. For topical use only.
Usage & safety notes.
Do not use on open cuts or wounds — this formula contains apple cider vinegar which can cause stinging on broken skin. For open wounds, use
Adored Beast Skin HEALth Spray instead. Do not spray directly in eyes or mouth. Try to prevent your pet from licking the area immediately after application — allow the spray to absorb into the skin first. Test on a small area first to assess skin tolerance. For topical use only — not for internal use. Store at room temperature or refrigerate. Not for human consumption. Keep out of reach of children and other animals.
Apple Cider Vinegar & Witch Hazel — Antifungal Base
The base of Yeasty Beast does far more than carry the herbal ingredients. Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is naturally acidic — it lowers the skin's surface pH to a level that inhibits yeast growth. Yeast (Malassezia) thrives in warm, moist, alkaline environments; ACV disrupts this by acidifying the skin surface and creating conditions inhospitable to yeast proliferation. Witch hazel is a natural astringent with well-established antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. It tightens pores, reduces excess moisture — a key driver of skin yeast — and soothes inflamed, irritated skin on contact.
Horsetail — Healing & Anti-Inflammatory
Horsetail has been used as a topical herbal remedy since the time of the Greek and Roman Empires. It is well known for supporting the healing of burns, wounds, and skin sores, and possesses anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce redness and irritation. Horsetail also helps stabilise and repair scar tissue and damaged skin, and contains antioxidant compounds that fight free radical damage to skin cells.
Calendula — Antioxidant Skin Healer
Rich in flavonoids — plant-based antioxidants that protect cells from free radical damage — Calendula has been used topically for centuries to fight inflammation, bacteria, and viruses, and to accelerate wound healing. Applied to the skin, it promotes increased blood flow and oxygen to affected areas, supporting faster tissue repair. It is particularly effective for burns, bruises, cuts, and minor skin infections — all common secondary concerns alongside yeast-related skin irritation.
Hypericum — Nerve & Tissue Regeneration
Hypericum perforatum (St. John's Wort) has a long tradition in dermatological applications. Applied topically, it supports tissue regeneration in irritated or damaged skin, soothes skin irritations, and is known for its ability to tone and restore the health of nerve endings in the skin — which is why it is particularly useful for areas that are hypersensitive, raw, or chronically inflamed from repeated scratching. It is also used for minor wounds, sunburns, abrasions, bruises, and contusions.
Hydrastis (Goldenseal) — Antibacterial Skin Support
Goldenseal has been used by indigenous North American peoples for centuries and has a rich history of topical use for local inflammation and skin conditions including rashes, ulcers, wounds, infections, itching, eczema, and ringworm. Its antibacterial properties make it particularly effective on wounds and sores where secondary bacterial infection is a risk — common in dogs that have broken the skin from persistent scratching at yeasty areas.
Green Tea — Antioxidant & Anti-Inflammatory
Green tea (Camellia sinensis) is one of the most well-studied natural antioxidants. Its polyphenols and catechins deliver antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral properties to the skin — supporting the skin's own defence mechanisms while reducing inflammation and redness. The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity of green tea complements the antifungal action of the ACV base and the antimicrobial properties of goldenseal, creating a multi-mechanism approach to yeasty, inflamed skin.
When to Use Yeasty Beast
Yeasty Beast is appropriate for topical use on dogs experiencing any of the following:
Yeast infections on the skin — paws, skin folds, groin, armpits, neck, belly. Chronic itching, scratching, or chewing of the skin. Yeasty odour from skin or paws. Redness, inflammation, or darkening of the skin from chronic yeast. Minor skin infections — bacterial or fungal. Irritated or inflamed skin from allergies. Preventive use in areas prone to yeast build-up in yeast-prone dogs.
Note: Yeasty Beast addresses topical (surface) yeast. Recurrent or systemic yeast issues require internal support as well — consult your veterinarian and consider Adored Beast Apothecary's internal yeast protocols alongside this spray.

Caution.
Do not apply to open cuts or wounds — apple cider vinegar can cause stinging on broken skin. For wound care, use

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Yeasty Beast on open cuts or wounds?
No. Yeasty Beast contains apple cider vinegar which can cause stinging when applied to broken or open skin. For wound care, use Adored Beast Skin HEALth Spray instead, which is formulated without ACV and is safe for open wounds.
Is it safe if my dog licks it off?
All of the ingredients in Yeasty Beast are safe for dogs to consume. However, it is a topical product and is most effective when it is absorbed into the skin. Try to keep your dog occupied or distracted for a few minutes after application to allow the spray to soak in before it is licked off.
How long will one bottle last?
Each 60ml bottle contains approximately 480 sprays. At 2–3 sprays per application, 2–3 times daily on a localised area, one bottle provides several weeks of treatment — longer for smaller or more contained areas of application.
Does this address the root cause of yeast, or just the surface symptoms?
Yeasty Beast addresses topical (surface) yeast — it creates an environment on the skin that inhibits yeast growth and soothes inflammation, while supporting the skin's healing. However, recurrent skin yeast in dogs is almost always driven by an internal imbalance — gut dysbiosis, immune dysfunction, diet, or chronic antibiotic use. For lasting results, topical treatment should be combined with internal yeast support. Consult your veterinarian for a comprehensive yeast management approach.
Can I use this on my dog's paws, ears, or skin folds?
Yes — Yeasty Beast is suitable for use on any external skin surface prone to yeast, including paws, between the toes, skin folds, groin, armpits, belly, and neck. Avoid direct contact with the ear canal interior or the eyes. For ear canal yeast infections, consult your veterinarian for appropriate ear treatment.
Why does my dog's skin smell yeasty — and can this help?
The characteristic "corn chip" or musty smell associated with yeasty dogs comes from Malassezia pachydermatis, a yeast that naturally lives on dog skin but can overgrow when conditions — warmth, moisture, diet, or immune imbalance — allow it to. Yeasty Beast helps by creating an acidic, astringent, antimicrobial surface environment that makes it harder for yeast to proliferate, while the herbal ingredients soothe the inflammation and irritation that yeast causes.
