Canine Gut Soothe

Canine Gut Soothe is a veterinarian-formulated digestive health supplement for dogs — a proprietary blend of a 30 Billion CFU multi-strain probiotic, prebiotics, and select herbs including slippery elm, L-glutamine, marshmallow root, and aloe vera. Developed by Adored Beast Apothecary founder Julie Anne Lee, DCH RCSHom, drawing on over 30 years of clinical experience in integrative and homeopathic veterinary medicine.

Gut Soothe supports a healthy intestinal tract, normal digestive function, proper gut flora balance, and a healthy inflammatory response. Particularly well suited to dogs experiencing occasional loose stools due to dietary changes, environmental stress, antibiotic recovery, or ongoing digestive sensitivity. Available in 52g (trial size) and 153g.

Each serving delivers 30 Billion Colony Forming Units across 14 strains of beneficial bacteria, including multiple Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium species. A well-populated gut microbiome supports immunity, digestive function, stool consistency, and the ability to recover from stress, illness, or antibiotic use.

Slippery elm bark produces a gel-like mucilage on contact with water that coats and soothes the mucosal lining of the digestive tract. Gut Soothe includes slippery elm in two forms — standard bark powder (220mg) and a concentrated 4:1 extract (80mg) — for layered action throughout the gastrointestinal tract.

L-Glutamine (250mg) is the primary energy source for the cells lining the intestinal wall. It supports the integrity of the gut mucosa, promotes normal mucosal repair, and underpins a healthy inflammatory response — especially relevant for dogs with leaky gut, chronic loose stools, or gut wall compromise from long-term medication use.

Marshmallow root 4:1 extract (100mg) forms a protective coating over irritated mucosal membranes, soothing inflamed tissue and creating the conditions the gut wall needs to heal. Because this mucilage can affect absorption of other substances, Gut Soothe is best given 1–2 hours away from medications.

Larch arabinogalactan (500mg) is a polysaccharide fibre that acts as food for the beneficial bacteria in the probiotic blend, helping them establish and proliferate in the gut. It also supports normal colon health and a healthy immune response.

Deglycyrrhizinated licorice (375mg) — safe for long-term use — supports the gastric mucosa by improving circulation, stimulating the secretion of a protective mucosal layer, and encouraging new mucosal cell growth. Aloe vera 200:1 extract (5mg) contributes amino acids, enzymes, vitamin C, and a range of minerals in concentrated form.

N-acetyl glucosamine (300mg) contributes to the structural integrity of the mucosal lining of the gut, supporting the repair and maintenance of healthy connective tissue throughout the gastrointestinal tract.
