Some dogs need a little more encouragement to engage with a new chew. The Natural Beef flavour uses real beef-derived flavouring to give BetterBone an enticing scent and taste — without any of the mess, odour, or risks that come with raw or dried animal chews.
The base material is identical to the Classic: natural cellulose and corn-plant-derived polymer, manufactured in the EU, and free from nylon, rubber, synthetic chemicals, and artificial additives. What the Natural Beef flavour adds is a gentle, natural beef note that makes this chew particularly appealing to dogs who are not immediately drawn to unflavoured options.

What makes BetterBone different
The material at the heart of every BetterBone is called Vernovo — a proprietary formula developed with over 25 years of material science expertise. It is renewable, sustainably sourced within the European Union, and designed to give dogs a satisfying, durable chew without the risks of conventional materials.
BetterBone produces no stains, no odour, and no microplastics. Every bone is hypoallergenic and splinter-resistant. Packaging is 100% FSC Mix recycled materials, plastic-free, and printed with non-toxic ink. Production reduces CO2 emissions by 85% compared to nylon-based chews, and remaining carbon is offset through Tree-Nation reforestation.
Natural Beef flavour contains natural beef-derived flavouring. If your dog has a known beef protein allergy or sensitivity, choose BetterBone Natural Venison or Classic Hypoallergenic instead.

Choose your size
Select the size that matches your dog's weight. When in doubt, size up — a bone that is slightly larger is safer than one a dog could swallow.

When to replace your BetterBone
BetterBone is built to last several weeks with regular use. Replace it when any of the following apply:
Size: Replace when the bone has worn down to a size your dog could swallow.
Damage: Replace if visible cracks, splinters, or chunks are breaking off.
Discomfort: Replace if your dog shows any discomfort or loses interest in the bone.

Does the Natural Beef flavour contain real beef?
It contains natural beef-derived flavouring. This gives the chew a real beef scent and taste without raw or dried meat. Dogs with a confirmed beef protein allergy should use the Classic Hypoallergenic or Natural Venison instead.
Will the beef flavour stain my floors or furniture?
No. BetterBone does not stain and does not produce the strong odour associated with bully sticks or rawhide. The natural flavouring is incorporated into the material, not applied as a surface coating.
My dog chewed through it very quickly. What should I do?
Move up one density. Fast consumption usually means the chew is too soft for your dog's jaw strength. Refer to the Chew Guide for breed-specific recommendations.
Is it safe if my dog ingests small pieces?
Small fragments ingested during normal chewing are not a concern — the ingredients are plant-based and non-toxic. The bone should be replaced before it wears down to a swallowable size.
