How It Works

TEEF!'s patented Protektin42™ formula uses Selective Microbial Metabolism Regulation Technology (SMMRT) — a prebiotic approach developed since 2008 that uses natural, consumable nutrients to stop the growth of destructive microbes while promoting beneficial ones. Unlike antiseptic rinses or enzymatic products, TEEF! doesn't kill bacteria. It changes what they eat, effectively putting harmful oral microbes on a diet that starves them out.

The formula works both on the tooth surface and below the gum line — reaching the root cause of gum disease, not just the visible symptoms. Consistent daily use through drinking water ensures the mouth is bathed in TEEF! throughout the day.

What to Expect

How to Use

Add one scoop (1/32 tsp) of Protektin42™ to your dog's water bowl daily — up to 64oz (approximately 1.9 litres) of water. Can also be added to food, treats, a toothbrush, or an enrichment activity. The dosing is universal regardless of dog size — TEEF! targets the bacteria in the mouth, not the dog's body weight.

Once mixed with water, use within 2–3 days as Protektin42™ contains no preservatives. For multi-dog households, fill a pitcher with 2–3 scoops and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Important Notes

TEEF! does not replace daily toothbrushing or regular dental care by a veterinarian. It is most effective when used as part of a comprehensive dental care routine. Protektin42™ contains a very small amount of soluble fibre, which in rare cases may cause soft or loose stools. If this occurs, temporarily reduce the dose by half until stools return to normal.
