Piper is a Level 3 Pawzler puzzle piece with four treat-hiding compartments and removable blue sliders that clip into any Pawzler Base. It is the only Pawzle in the range where the owner directly controls the difficulty — making it one of the most versatile pieces for dogs at different stages of puzzle play.

How It Works

Piper's four compartments each have a lid that dogs lift to access the treat beneath. The blue sliders are the key to its adjustability: remove both sliders and the lids lift freely, making Piper a straightforward four-compartment puzzle. Add one slider to lock two of the lids — dogs must push the slider aside before lifting. Add both sliders to lock all four lids, requiring dogs to work through each slider in turn before any compartment opens.

Dogs unlock the sliders using their nose, tongue, or paw. Start with both sliders removed so your dog can build confidence with the lifting mechanic. Once they are working through the puzzle calmly and deliberately, add one slider, then both, to extend the challenge and the session.

Fill each compartment with small treats, or spread a meal across the compartments to slow down eating and turn mealtime into playtime.

Use as a Base Connector

Piper's four-spot footprint allows it to span the join between two adjacent Bases, physically linking them together and extending the overall puzzle footprint. This increases the number of possible configurations and extends session time without requiring additional connector pieces.

Compatibility

Piper clips into any Pawzler Base and is compatible with all Pawzles and Bases in the range. A Base is required — Piper cannot be used without one. Piper is included in the Genius Set and pairs well with Peach, which can be used to block adjacent compartments and raise the overall difficulty of the configuration.
