Liver Tonic is a herbal liquid tincture for dogs and cats formulated to support, detoxify, and repair the liver, kidneys, pancreas, and gallbladder. It helps regenerate healthy liver cells, boosts the liver's ability to filter toxins from the blood, and supports bile production for healthy fat digestion. Made from a proprietary blend of four botanicals — Dandelion Root, Greater Celandine, Milk Thistle, and Barberry — in an organic vegetable glycerine base. Gentle enough for long-term use, effective enough for chronic conditions including elevated liver enzymes.
Developed by Adored Beast Apothecary founder Julie Anne Lee, DCH RCSHom. Particularly valuable for animals regularly exposed to drugs, antibiotics, steroids, NSAIDs, flea and tick medications, pesticides, and environmental toxins — all of which place a significant burden on the liver over time. 60ml bottle. Administer twice daily according to body weight. Refrigerate after opening.

What Liver Tonic Is Used For
Liver support and detoxification — regenerates healthy liver cells. Elevated liver enzymes — ongoing daily support for chronic conditions. Kidney, pancreas, and gallbladder function support. Detox support after antibiotic, steroid, NSAID, or flea and tick medication use. Bile production support — aids fat digestion and toxin removal. General maintenance — 2–3 times per year for healthy animals. Post-illness or post-medication recovery. Digestive complaints including constipation and gastric issues.
Taraxacum Officinalis — Dandelion Root
One of the oldest and most nutritious medicinal plants known, Dandelion Root supports bile secretion and healthy digestion, promotes liver function, and helps fight inflammation. It is highly nutritious and rich in antioxidants, potassium, and compounds that assist the body in removing toxins. Dandelion Root has a long history of use for hepatic and digestive complaints, including general constipation.
Chelidonium Majus — Greater Celandine
Chelidonium has a strong affinity for the liver and gallbladder and a long documented history of use with disorders of the liver, spleen, gallbladder, kidney, and intestine. It contains active compounds including isoquinoline alkaloids, chelidonine, proteolytic enzymes, sanguinarine, flavonoids, and phenolic acids. Chelidonium supports bile production, which improves digestion — particularly the breakdown of fat — and facilitates the removal of toxins from the body.
Silybum Marianum — Milk Thistle
Milk Thistle is one of the most well-researched liver-protective herbs available. It stabilises liver cell membranes, acts as an antioxidant to protect liver cells from free radical damage, helps regenerate healthy liver cells, and boosts the organ's ability to filter toxins from the blood. It can protect the liver from the effects of heavy metals and drugs, and provides detoxification support after exposure to solvents, pesticides, bacteria from food poisoning, and other environmental toxins.
Berberis Vulgaris — Barberry
Barberry contains berberine, a compound shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria and other disease-causing organisms. It supports detoxification and stimulates liver function, and is commonly used for gastritis, ulcers, and ulcerative bowel problems. Barberry also contains powerful astringent properties that help eliminate harmful intestinal bacteria and support the immune system.
