How to play

They hold their shape, don't crumble, and don't grease the fabric the way softer treats would. Freeze-dried pieces and other dry training treats also work well.

Set it up in layers. Tuck treats under the backpack's elastic straps and inside the hidden inner pocket. Place more treats into the notebook's snuffle pages. Pack the notebook, pencil, and eraser inside the backpack, close it up, and hand the whole set over. Your dog will work through the backpack first, discover each item inside, and continue sniffing out treats from there.

Start simple, then layer up. For a first session, you don't need to load every hiding spot. Pick two or three and let your dog succeed quickly. Build up to using all the hiding spots together as your dog grows more confident with the set.
