Herbal Ear Cleaner | Witch Hazel, Finger Lime & Lemon Myrtle

A gentle herbal ear cleaner formulated with witch hazel, Australian finger lime, and lemon myrtle — alcohol-free, plant-based, and safe for regular use on dogs with sensitive ears. Designed for routine ear hygiene rather than treatment of infections, this cleaner helps maintain the natural ear canal environment without the sting of alcohol-based formulas.

Gently cleanses the ear canal of wax, debris, and excess moisture. The plant-based formula supports natural pH balance rather than disrupting it with harsh chemicals. Used regularly, it can help reduce the frequency of ear-related visits to the vet by maintaining ear hygiene between baths.

Humidity and ear infections are closely linked. Singapore's year-round warm, damp climate creates ideal conditions for yeast and bacteria to flourish inside the ear canal — particularly in floppy-eared breeds where airflow is naturally restricted (Cocker Spaniels, Cavalier King Charles, Basset Hounds, Labradors, Golden Retrievers).

Swimming, bathing, and rain exposure all contribute to moisture accumulation in ear canals that don't dry quickly on their own. Regular gentle cleaning helps manage the moisture and debris before they cause problems. A simple weekly or post-swim routine can significantly reduce ear-related vet visits for at-risk breeds.

Apply a few drops into the ear canal, or apply to a cotton pad and gently wipe the outer ear and visible part of the canal. Gently massage the base of the ear for 20-30 seconds to help loosen any debris. Allow your dog to shake their head — this naturally expels the loosened material. Wipe away any debris with a soft cloth. Never insert cotton buds or any sharp object deep into the ear canal.

Weekly for most dogs. More frequently (after every swim or bath) for dogs prone to ear issues or breeds with floppy ears. Less frequently for dogs with naturally healthy, upright ears.
