Collection: Taki

Taki is a Singapore-based pet food brand that takes restaurant-grade ingredients and freeze-dries them raw to lock in nutrition, flavour, and colour. Founded out of love for their shiba inu, Taki, the brand draws on their family's seafood wholesale business and trusted restaurant suppliers to source proteins you would find on a sashimi counter or steakhouse menu — wagyu, king salmon, Hokkaido scallop, hamachi, and more.

Every treat is single-ingredient, 100% made in Singapore, and freeze-dried at -40°C with no heat, no preservatives, and no additives. The light, crumbly texture is gentle on teeth and easy to digest, making Taki treats suitable for dogs and cats of all ages — including seniors, puppies, and pets with sensitive stomachs. Available in convenient bulk packs and individually sealed multi-packet formats. Free delivery on orders above $49.

About Taki

Taki was born out of a simple act of love — when the founders' friends at NUDE Seafood made freeze-dried human-grade salmon for their shiba inu, Taki, and he loved it. Drawing on their family's seafood wholesale business (Hai Sia) and their trusted restaurant suppliers, the founders set out to create a full range of freeze-dried treats using the same quality ingredients they would serve at a restaurant table.

What makes Taki different is their approach to both sourcing and processing. The proteins are restaurant-grade — sashimi salmon, wagyu steak, Hokkaido scallop, New Zealand king salmon, Japanese hamachi — sourced from the same supply chains that feed Singapore's best restaurants. These raw ingredients are then freeze-dried in-house at Taki's own facility in Singapore, using machines that process food at -40°C with lowered pressure and sublimation. This method removes moisture without applying any heat, preserving up to 95% of the original nutrients, natural enzymes, and flavour. The result is a light, crumbly treat that retains the colour, taste, and nutritional profile of the raw ingredient.

Every Taki product is single-ingredient, 100% made in Singapore, and free from preservatives, additives, and artificial flavouring.

Why freeze-dried? Unlike dehydrated or air-dried treats, freeze-drying uses no heat at all. This preserves natural enzymes and protein structures intact, which may support easier digestion — particularly for dogs with sensitive stomachs. The light, porous texture also breaks apart easily in the mouth, making freeze-dried treats a comfortable option for senior dogs, puppies, and pets with sensitive or weakened teeth.

The Range at Woof Living

Woof Living carries a curated selection of Taki freeze-dried treats in two formats. The bulk packs (50g resealable bags) are ideal for everyday use at home — available in proteins including wagyu cubes, wagyu steak, chicken breast, salmon cubes, hamachi, kibinago, kangaroo, crocodile, rabbit, and whole Hokkaido scallop. The individually sealed multi-packet format (7-10g per packet, 10-12 packets per bag) is designed for portability and portion control — perfect for outings, training sessions, or when freshness matters most. Multi-packet proteins include Sanchoku wagyu cubes, Aberdeen Angus beef, wagyu steak, chicken breast, duck breast, pork cubes, hamachi, venison, barramundi, kangaroo cubes, and king salmon cubes.

All Taki treats can be served as-is for a crunchy texture, rehydrated with a small amount of water for a softer consistency, or crumbled over food as a meal topper. Suitable for dogs and cats.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is freeze-drying and how is it different from dehydration?

Freeze-drying removes moisture from raw ingredients by freezing them and then extracting the water through sublimation (turning ice directly into vapour) under low pressure. No heat is applied at any stage. Dehydration and air-drying use low heat over extended periods to remove moisture, which can reduce some heat-sensitive nutrients and enzymes. Freeze-drying preserves up to 95% of the original nutrients, natural enzymes, and flavour, and produces a lighter, crumblier texture.

Are Taki treats suitable for cats?

Yes. All Taki treats are suitable for both dogs and cats. The light, crumbly texture and small portion sizes make them particularly well suited to cats. The fish-based options (hamachi, salmon, kibinago, king salmon, barramundi, Hokkaido scallop) tend to be especially popular with cats.

Are freeze-dried treats good for senior dogs or dogs with dental issues?

Yes. Freeze-dried treats have a light, porous texture that breaks apart easily in the mouth without requiring heavy chewing. This makes them a comfortable option for senior dogs, puppies, and dogs with sensitive, weakened, or missing teeth. They can also be rehydrated with water for an even softer consistency.

Can I use Taki treats as a meal topper?

Yes. Taki treats work well as meal toppers — crumble them over your pet's regular food or rehydrate with a small amount of water to create a flavourful topper. They are treats and toppers, not complete meals, so they should supplement rather than replace your pet's regular diet.

What does "can be rehydrated" mean?

All Taki treats can be served as-is (crunchy) or rehydrated by adding a small amount of water. Rehydrating softens the texture and releases more of the natural aroma and flavour, which can be helpful for picky eaters, senior pets, or when using as a meal topper.

How should I store Taki treats?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For the 50g bulk packs, reseal the bag tightly after opening to prevent moisture absorption. The individually sealed multi-packet format does not require resealing — simply open one packet at a time. Freeze-dried treats are shelf-stable and do not require refrigeration when stored properly.

Where is Taki based?

Taki is a Singapore-based brand. All products are freeze-dried in-house at their facility in Singapore — 100% made in Singapore from sourcing to packaging.
