Gut Guard is a veterinary-formulated supplement for dogs with irritated or leaky guts — a targeted blend of spore-forming probiotics, gut-repair amino acids, and soothing organic herbs including marshmallow root, slippery elm, deglycyrrhizinated licorice, and aloe vera. L-Glutamine (1,500mg per serving) is the primary energy source for enterocytes — the cells that line the intestinal wall. By supplying this fuel directly, L-Glutamine supports the repair of the mucosal barrier, strengthens the tight junctions between cells, and underpins a healthy inflammatory response throughout the digestive tract.

Most probiotic strains are fragile — destroyed by stomach acid, heat, or the inflammatory environment of a distressed gut. Pediococcus acidilactici is different. Gut Guard's proprietary probiotic blend also includes Bacillus coagulans and Bacillus subtilis — spore-forming soil-based species with a hard protective outer shell. A 106g jar typically lasts anywhere from around one month to several months depending on your dog's size — enough to cover at least one 60-day course for small to medium dogs.
